American Degree program เริ่มต้นเมื่อกลางปีค.ศ. 1980 โดยนักเรียนที่เรียน Program นี้นั้นจะเรียนทั้งหมด 4 ปี โดยเรียนที่มาเลเซียใน 2 ปีแรก หรือประมาณ 40-70 หน่วยกิต ก่อนจะย้ายไปเรียนในมหาวิทยาลัยที่นักเรียนเลือกไว้ในอเมริกา โดยนักเรียนจะสามารถเลือกมหาวิทยาลัยที่เรียนได้จากมหาวิทยาลัยในอเมริกาจำนวน 200 มหาวิทยาลัย และโอนหน่วยกิตไปเรียนที่นั่น
ซึ่งนอกจาก American Degree Transfer Programme แล้ว บางสถาบันก็มีหลักสูตร Australian University Transfer Programme, UK University Transfer Programme และ Canadian University Transfer Programme
6. External Degree Program ในโปรแกรมนี้ นักเรียนที่เรียนจะกลายเป็น External student ของมหาวิทยาลัยจากต่างชาติในขณะที่เรียนในประเทศมาเลเซีย
